The sun crests over the horizan as a man on rides up on a weather beaten stead, in to town. He stops by the gaurds. His robes are covered in dust and mud from his long travel. His Hand grasp tightly on his staff as he falls slowly to the street. A young gaurd rushes forward and grabs him, helping him to plant his feet.
Out of breath, he look up. "Thank you young man, I've been on this nag for almost a full cycle now, and thought I'd pass out from teh pain in my rear." The young Gaurd helps him stand up as he walks him towrads the gate of the city. The man approaches as another gaurd stands straight. "What is you porpuse in Fallnford.
The old man produces a small silver medallion and shows it to the guard. “I'm Aiwendil the cloud seer. I've come from the northern conclave. I'm here for the Gathering.” the guard looks at the old man and nods. “The boy will take you up if you want him to.” Aiwendil Nods and takes the the young gaurd's arm.
As they start to walk Aiwendil looks around to see who else might be in the town. “You're the first one to come for the gathering Master Wizard. No one else has arrived. At least none that I have seen.” Aiwendil smiles at the boy and leans a little more on to him,.
“So tell me young one, how long have you been a guard? You seem a bit young to doing guard work.” the young boy stops and stares at him. “I'm sixteen, I just started Guard duty this year. My fatehr trained my how to use a sword, and my mother taught me math and reading, and other schooling.” The old wizard laughs to himself as they get to the main street. “I don't believe I asked that much my good lad.”
the young boy was a little assamed at his over zealousness. He blushes as he looks towards the streets. “You haven't told me your name. You know mine but not yours, and that is rude.” the boy helps the old wizard to some stairs and the start to ascend. “I'm Risin, I live just outside of town.” The old wizard nods as he looks at a pair of doors that stand in front of them.
“I can walk from here young Risin.” The young man nods as he slowly steps back. The dorrs swing open and Aiwendil steps inside. Risin turns around as the doors start to close.
